Audit and consulting giant Grant Thornton wanted to gather all their co-workers to launch a new business strategy and create insights, find common ground and change deeply rooted behaviours. The meeting sought to create an understanding of the changes necessary for the future success of the company. It also carried a special focus on the well-being of their employees, following the company’s goal to be seen as a sustainable workplace by its co-workers within three years.
In September 2018, with a focus on sustainable travel, our dedicated logistics team brought 1200 guests from 20 Grant Thornton offices all over the country to the city of Orsa and opened the doors to a conference experience controlled through a digital event app, but also focusing on personal reflection, workshops in nature, and physical activities including an outdoor-dinner in remarkable surroundings out in the woods.
After the event, 88 % of the participants stated a greater understanding of the company’s plan to achieve its overall goals. 84 % felt inspired to do their utmost to fulfil the business strategy 2018-2021. As a direct effect of the event, 91 % of the co-workers now claim to know the vision of the company, an increase by 20%! A perfect example of how to bring together, unify and inspire all participants.
